Product rebuilds & improvement

Keep the business. Fix the software.

Improve the workflows and technical bottlenecks holding the product back. A full rewrite is an option, not the starting assumption.

The bottleneck

Every new feature takes longer. Users get stuck in the same places. Rebuilding everything sounds tempting, but the current product still runs the business. We examine the bottleneck before choosing how much to change.

What we can build

  • A review of the affected interface, code and dependencies
  • A prioritized scope tied to user or operational problems
  • Focused UX improvements, integrations or architecture changes
  • Migration and regression checks for the workflows that must keep working

A possible workflow

Replace a difficult customer workflow while keeping existing records and business rules. Release the new part in stages, check the result and use that evidence to decide what changes next.

What we agree first

We need access to the relevant code, environment and known issues. We agree critical behaviours, migration constraints and acceptance checks first. A full rewrite is an option to justify, not the default starting point.

Before you commit

Can you improve software another team built?
Yes, after reviewing the code, dependencies and access. That review helps distinguish a contained fix from a wider issue and makes the implementation scope realistic.
How much will my project cost?
Know the cost before you commit. We begin by defining the first version: its functionality, integrated systems, and validation methods. Then we agree on the budget before development commences. Any paid discovery or assessment is agreed separately prior to that work.
How long does development take?
We agree a timeline for the first usable version, including the access and feedback we need from your team. Larger projects can be released in stages, rather than keeping everything behind a single launch date.
Do I need a finished specification?
No. Tell us what happens today, where work gets stuck and what a better result looks like. Screenshots, examples and a list of tools are useful. We can define the scope and acceptance criteria together.

Bring us the part that gets in the way.

Show us where the work gets stuck. We’ll discuss what can be fixed, what needs building and where to start.
